Stewardship Video Series: Fans of “The Office” are sure to appreciate this final installment: an homage to the workplace sitcom starring your favorite Rector, Assistant Rector and Music Director. Though the video is all in good fun, we acknowledge that the process of adapting to virtual worship has been long and arduous. None of this would have been possible without the help of every St. John’s vestry and staff member, and of course all of our parishioners for bearing with us in these trying times. Here is a link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hlwcJKn-kM

ALL SAINTS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1: Calling for names of all saints. While remembering the loved ones we have lost this year and in years past, we will read aloud names of all saints. Please send names you would like read aloud to gro.notpmahsnhojts@eciffo.

2020 Pledges: Thank you to all who have been able to maintain your pledges for 2020. We are so very grateful. The summer is always a tough time financially but was even more so this year. As a result, we have fallen behind on pledges. We will send out all of the pledge statements this week. Please check to see if your pledge is up to date. We understand if you are not able to fulfill your pledge because of financial challenges. If this is the case, please consider contacting our pledge keeper (Margot Rous) at the following e-mail: ten.xoc@suorwm or our treasurer (Linda Curtis) at gro.notpmahsnhojts@1ecnanif.

Home Communion: We are delighted to be celebrating communion again on Sundays. However, we know that some will not feel comfortable attending. If you would like a clergy person to bring you communion, please contact Samantha (gro.notpmahsnhojts@rotcerjs), Mark (gro.notpmahsnhojts@kram), or the church office (722-2567). Our preference will be to share communion with you on a porch, deck, or front stoop if possible. We know that will not work for some and we can come inside if that is the only option. We are just trying to keep everyone as safe as possible!

Prayers for our Nation: A St. John’s parishioner suggested that we pray for our nation every day at noon. You can do this anywhere with any words that you choose. The idea is that we know somewhere, other members of St. John’s are praying for our country. While you can pray in any way that you would like, the Book of Common Prayer is a treasure trove of prayers. Therefore, we will be providing a different one every week. Here is this week’s: Almighty God our heavenly Father, guide the nations of the world into the way of justice and truth, and establish among them that peace which is the fruit of righteousness, that they may become the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Calling all Humans of St. John’s! This week, we will start reaching out to parishioners individually to submit stories for “Humans of St. John’s.” Your participation is completely voluntary but much appreciated. And even if you are not contacted, you may still submit your unique stories, along with a photo, to communications@stjohnshampton.org. It can be about anything that’s happened in your life in the last six months, no matter how mundane or exciting. Thanks!
