St. John's Kickoff Sunday Video 2020
Welcome to St. John's Episcopal Church.
This Sunday, September 13, at 9:15am St. John's will have in-person worship in the sanctuary for the first time in what feels like a very long time. And though things will look a little different than a typical Kickoff Sunday, we'll be together. Whether you're a lifetime parishioner or brand new to the church, we encourage you to worship with us this Sunday in whatever way you feel comfortable.
You can register to attend the indoor service or the outdoor service at 6pm using the links available on our website, stjohnshampton.org. Or visit our YouTube or Facebook pages on Sunday morning to see a live streamed version of the morning service. We hope you'll join us!

St. John's 2020 Stewardship Part I: Community Outreach
COVID-19 has affected our community in ways we could never have imagined. In this three-part series, see some of the stewardship that our congregation has undertaken during these tumultuous times. From community outreach, to music, to Sunday services, our church community has proven itself as strong as ever in 2020.
In Part I, we hear from some of the people involved in our community outreach: Lawrence McCray, our AA leader, people who have been helped by the Li'l Free Pantry, and Richard Bridgeford, Executive Director of Tucker House.

St. John's 2020 Stewardship Part III: Adapting to Virtual Worship
COVID-19 has affected our community in ways we could never have imagined. In this three-part series, see some of the stewardship that our congregation has undertaken during these tumultuous times. From community outreach, to music, to Sunday services, our church community has proven itself as strong as ever in 2020.
Fans of "The Office" are sure to appreciate this final installment: an homage to the workplace sitcom starring your favorite Rector, Assistant Rector and Music Director. Though the video is all in good fun, we acknowledge that the process of adapting to virtual worship has been long and arduous. None of this would have been possible without the help of every St. John's vestry and staff member, and of course all of our parishioners for bearing with us in these trying times.

St. John's Christmas Eve Pageant 2020
Unfortunately, we will not be able to gather in person to celebrate Christmas Eve this year. This is disappointing, and it’s another reminder of the things that we cannot control in 2020. But the first Christmas was about a situation very much out of the control of a very young and pregnant woman. May we find solace and strength in Mary’s persistence when faced with a world that had turned upside down. We all at least have a place to find shelter in the rain. The holy family had a barn and so many in our own community have even less than that.
We appreciate you tuning in to watch this pageant that the youth and adults worked so hard on. We hope that you'll also join us at some point between 12-3pm today, 12/24/20. The sanctuary will be open, and you may enter for a few minutes to see the church and receive communion from a member of the clergy. You may take this communion during our 8pm service which will be live streamed to our Facebook and YouTube pages.
We thank you all so much for your flexibility and patience during this turbulent holiday season. We wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year. May God bless you all.
