Renovation is continuing as evidenced by the missing stained glass windows. Higgins and Associates from Front Royal, VA are doing the work. Three of the round windows, the bottom two panels of the Ruth window, the St. Luke window, and the transept window over the West Door were removed and transported to their studio. There, the windows are being disassembled, the glass cleaned, new lead and solder applied, and the windows reassembled. The wood frames are being stripped, primed, and painted. These windows will be returned in September.
Work has begun on the slate roof. Slates from the vestibules will be used to replace broken or missing slates on the upper roof. Newer slates will be applied on the vestibules. As-built drawings and code analysis reports prepared by Guernsey Tingle have been received and are being reviewed.
