The Rev. Lisa Erdeljon
Rector
Born and raised in Virginia, Lisa earned a BS in Intercultural and Mass Communication from Old Dominion University, then served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the country of Georgia. She went on to a Masters of Public Policy in Peace Operations from George Mason University, and attended Berkeley Episcopal Seminary at Yale Divinity School. She served as Curate and Associate Rector for Christian Education at St. Michael’s, Barrington, Illinois, and as Assistant to the Rector for Pastoral Care at St. Philip’s, Southport, North Carolina, before answering the call to St. John’s.

Deborah Carr
Director of Music, Organist & Choir Master
Deborah L. Carr has been Music Director and Organist at St. John’s since 2011. She holds degrees in organ performance, church music and choral conducting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and Westminster Choir College. She is a member of the adjunct faculty at Virginia Wesleyan University, teaching organ and church music, founding director of the women’s vocal ensemble Bellissima!, and an accomplished composer for voice and instruments.

Patrick Crandol
Parish Administrator
A lifelong Hampton resident, Patrick Crandol joined the staff of St. John’s as Parish Administrator in 2021 and became a member of the parish in 2025. From the parish office, Patrick produces the weekly bulletin, keeps the parish calendar, maintains membership records, and looks after the website, supporting the clergy, staff, and ministries in the work of the church. Away from the office, you’ll find Patrick reading, programming, building things, or out in the garden.
