The design plans have been unveiled and four presentations have been made to the congregation. These plans incorporated suggestions from the various groups that use the church and from the parishioner survey. Incorporating these ideas with projects that we would like to see done and the updating of current systems was a monumental task taken on by Q.Design when the Renovation Committee hired them as architects. To come up with the preliminary plan as presented has integrated the many suggestions given. It is creative but will fix a lot of problems that currently exist in our building.
Parishioners are now giving solicited feedback. The design drawings have been sent to five construction companies for preliminary pricing. The deadline date for the submissions of the quotes is November 4, 2011. The Renovation Committee and the Vestry will review the plans together and determine which company will be the best fit for our project. The next steps in the renovation process will be to select a company and design a finance plan. Sources of available funding will determine whether the current design is selected as the final plan or an altered design scheme is selected.
