What a success this Night’s Welcome of 2009 was for St. John’s Church! Volunteers stepped in and worked hard to make this Outreach program a happening. The service provided by our parishioners to this community of Homeless was greatly appreciated. People volunteered once, twice and some, many times throughout the week.
Thanks to the management team: co-chair Stan Winarski, Food Leaders Kay Olson and Jo-Ann Mahony, Greeter Leader Sukey Stephens, and Overnight Leader Parkie Rice. People knew what was expected of them and how to carry through with their assignments.
A total number of 194 volunteers were logged for 8148 hours of service. That’s pretty impressive. Great job to all who participated!
