On Tuesday, February 2, Bryan Housand of Ground Penetrating Radar Systems examined the southernmost area of the cemetery—from the south door of the church between the east and west walls—to identify any unmarked gravesites. This effort was undertaken in conjunction with the Heritage committee’s mission to study the significance of St. John’s not only as a religious institution but as a fixture of the Hampton community. Mr. Housand located twenty-six previously unknown gravesites.
