Last Saturday night, St. John’s Williams Hall was transformed into an authentic (well, almost) Irish Pub to host the J2A Pilgrimage Auction Dinner. The parents worked tirelessly decorating and displaying the many auction items. Dana & Phillip Epstein put their culinary talents to great use making true Irish pub fare. The J2A class took over the kitchen and became your servers for the evening. Many thanks to our musical guest, Charles Darden, and accompanist for providing musical entertainment, including “Danny Boy”. Amory LeCuyer brought his own brand of “entertainment” as our lively Auctioneer, and we couldn’t have done any of this without Shannon Olson, our Christian Formation Director! We raised approximately $20,000 – so Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
What is our parish saying about our J2A program? I caught up with Betsy Clark: “Coming from a mother of two former J2A’ers, Pilgrimage was one of the best things to happen to my kids. It has been so beneficial for their spiritual development. Danny and I look forward to these Auction Dinners, not only to support the J2A program, but to see our Parish Family support it as well.” Anne Edgar added: “As a former leader and as a parent, the leaders and Pilgrims will never see each other quite the same way again, and will see God in the most unexpected places. This experience will shape their lives for many years to come.”
