The renovation report for the Annual Meeting included a discussion of renovation progress from August 2013-January 2014 utilizing photos of the demolition/construction to date. To summarize:
Demolition/construction began in August. Virtexco is mostly complete on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing rough-ins within the Tower. The 6,000 pound rooftop unit was set in place on the new lowered tower roof without incident by Lockwood Brothers and is concealed by the parapet walls. Interior wall framing and insulation have been installed and drywall/plaster work has also started.
The north addition, which will house the electrical service meter, electrical panels, and fire/security panel, has progressed as has other site utility work. Most of the sprinkler piping/heads are installed throughout the church building. The two new stained glass windows and one new casement window have been fabricated. Existing windows in the tower have been refurbished and re-hung. Millwork (cabinetry, vesting closets, etc.) fabrication and other work continues.
The official contract completion date is February 9th. However, there have been delays due to funerals and weather, thus moving projected completion date at least to late February.
