Special Meeting of the Vestry of St. John’s Church

A special meeting was held in the parish house office of the vestry of St. John’s Church, Elizabeth City Parish, Hampton, Virginia on Sunday, September 15, 2002 at 11:45 AM with Bob Harper, Senior Warden, presiding.
Vestry members present were: Frank Edgar, Sr., Bob Harper; Senior Warden, Connie Heath; Treasurer, Bill Kirkland, Bill Mace, Elizabeth Phillips, Bettyrene Pope; Registrar, Mary Ellen Sawyer, Eric Stewart, and W. L. (Bill) Terrill. Absent were: Nelson Durden, Hansi Haufler, and Jim Shoemaker.
Also present was James “Skip” Hutton, Interim Rector.
The meeting was called to order by Bob Harper.
The purpose of the meeting was to determine a negotiating salary amount for Donna Mae Siderius. The vestry decided to consider the amount of a base salary of $55,000 and a benefits package of $45,000 for a total of $90,000.
Bill Rhode, chairman of the Finance Committee will be invited to the vestry meeting on Tues. September 17, at 7 PM to determine the impact to the draft of the Asking Budget for 2003 with this amount. He will take this information back to the Finance Committee and they will then determine how to proceed.
