A special meeting of the vestry of St. John’s Church, Elizabeth City Parish, Hampton, VA was held on May 21, 2001 at the parish house.
Presiding- Frank Edgar, Senior Warden Those present were Marian Blount, Frank Edgar, Sr., Billie Einselen, Bob Harper, Keith Hatch, Hansi Haufler, Richard Hayes, Connie Heath, Vestal Lewis, Bettyrene Pope, Mary Ellen Sawyer, Nelson T. Durden, William Terrill, Leo Vaisvil, and Lew Vermillion. John Eidam, Search Committee Consultant, was also present. Absent: Dan Clark, Bill Mace, Eric Stewart, Linda Lashley. John Eidam gave devotions.
The goal of the meeting was to compose questions to be asked at the vestry interview with the candidate for Rector to be held on June 2nd 2001 at 2:00PM. Another purpose of the meeting was to decide who would ask the questions.
After much discussion several questions were formulated.
It was also decided that another special meeting of the vestry would be held at the parish house on May 30th 2001 at 7:00PM to discuss additional questions to be asked at the interview with the candidate.
