After communion we pray to “…do all such good works as thou hast prepared for us to walk in.” The St. John’s Outreach Committee organizes opportunities to serve God and our neighbors, from one-time projects to ongoing commitments.

Night’s Welcome
An opportunity to house and feed people experiencing homelessness for one week during the winter.

Summer Lunch
A program in which we offer a free nutritious lunchtime meal to anyone on Wednesdays during fourteen weeks in the summer. Lunch is served at noon.

Rise Against Hunger
Fifty or more people from the congregation gather after church one Sunday a year to package ten thousand meals for hungry school children in a developing country.

Andrews School Sponsorship
With funds for special projects and the dedicated volunteer effort of one special committee member, a kindergarten classroom has weekly visits and extra enrichment. More volunteers would be very welcome in this project.

Lil’ Free Pantry
The youth at St. John’s wanted an outreach project that would serve their local community and be environmentally friendly, providing ready-to-eat food, 24/7, to anybody who needed it. They went right to work and built St. John’s Lil’ Free Pantry using recycled materials. Items for the pantry are shelf-stable, easy-open, ready-to-eat products, along with individually…
