August 13, 2025 The Vestry of St. John’s Church, Elizabeth City Parish, was called to order on August 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. by Darden Barrett. Present were Darden Barrett – Senior Warden, Bettyrene Pope – Junior Warden, Ellen Griffith – Registrar, Scott Curtis, Bob Harper, Anne Rutherford, Brad Norris, Linda Curtis – Treasurer; Andrew Mackey & Ron Kindley, via phone. The meeting opened at 6:01 p.m. Ascertainment of Quorum: A quorum was present. Closed Session: A motion was made by Bettyrene Pope to approve to move to a closed session. Seconded by Bob Harper. The motion was approved unanimously. Closed session began at 6:02 p.m.
A motion was made by Bob Harper to end the closed session. Seconded by Darden Barrett. The motion was approved unanimously. Closed session ended at 7:02 p.m. A motion was made by Darden Barrett to call Lisa Erdeljon as the Rector of St. John’s. Seconded by Ron Kindley. The motion was approved unanimously. A motion was made by Bob Harper for the salary of the Rector to be $101,000 per year. Seconded by Ellen Griffith. The motion was approved unanimously. A motion was made by Darden Barrett to adjourn the meeting at 7:03. Seconded by Bob Harper. The motion was approved unanimously.
