A special meeting of the Vestry of St John’s Church, Elizabeth City Parish, Hampton, VA was held on August 24, 1999.
Those present were Keith Hatch, Marian Blount, Connie Heath, Billie Einselen, Richard Hayes, Dan Clark, Lew Vermillion, Rick Harman, Frank Edgar, Letia Drewry, Vestal Lewis, Jane Heiby, Nancy Adams, Rick Vinson, and John Eidam.
Absent was Leo Vaisvil.
Rick Harman, Finance Commission Chair, moved that St. John’s purchase Logos Program to replace the old financial and accounting software. The software costs $2,400 but a new computer to run this software costs $1,100 for a total expenditure of$3,500. The Rectory Principle and Interest Account has $2,800 which can be used and the remaining money can be obtained from the Office Expense budget. This motion was seconded and the motion passed.
John Eidam expressed his condolences on the death of Mac McKinney.
Nominations and selection of the Search Committee was begun.
