A special meeting of the vestry of St. John’s Church, Elizabeth City Parish, Hampton, Virginia was held on Saturday, February 27, 1999 in the parish house, the rector being in the chair and the registrar being present.
Those present were: The Rev. Rodney L. Caulkins, Elizabeth Brauer, Dan Clark, Wendy Cumming, Peter Dolezal, Letia Drewry, Nelson Durden, Frank Edgar, Sr., Rick Harman, Bill Mace, M.O. McKinney, Lew Vermillion. and P. Warren Spratley Jr., Treasurer.
Absent were: Keith Hatch, Nancy Adams and Connie Heath
CALL TO ORDER
PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: To consider the endorsement of Amory LeCuyer for Postulancy by the minister and vestry of Amory LeCuyer’s home church which is St. John’s Church, Hampton, VA. The rector explained in detail exactly what this means and Amory LeCuyer made several comments, as did Pat LeCuyer. The vestry then asked questions of them both.
Vestry members were then given an opportunity to sign the endorsement and a majority of them did so.
