The proposals from the Outreach Committee were presented. It was recommended to the vestry to allocate remaining funds ($886) from the 2015 outreach line item of the church operating budget to the Night’s Welcome Committee. These funds are to be used to assemble and stock personal care kits (soaps, toothpaste, socks, etc) to be distributed to overnight guests when St. John’s hosts “A Night’s Welcome” in March of 2016. In addition, the Outreach Committee recommends dedicating one half of the Christmas offering to Spirit Works, in honor of Jan Brown, the other half will go to church budget. Val Bowen made the motion, Doug Miller seconded it and the motion passed.
January 31st is Jan’s last day and there will be a reception in her honor.
