A special meeting of the vestry of St. John’s Church, Elizabeth City Parish, Hampton, Virginia was held at the parish house on June 20th, 2002 at 5:30 p.m.
Present were William L. (Bill) Terrill, Junior Warden; Bob Harper, Senior Warden; Bill Mace; Elizabeth Phillips; Connie Heath, Treasurer; Hansi Haufler; Nelson T. Durden; and Eric Stewart by telephone. The Senior Warden also stated he had proxies for Mary Ellen Sawyer,Jim Shoemaker, and Frank Edgar, Sr. Absent were Bill Kirkland and Bettyrene Pope. Bob Harper presiding.
A motion was made, seconded and passed that the vestry of St. John’s Church enter into negotiations with the Center for Spiritual Formation for the services of an Interim Rector. Elizabeth Phillips and Connie Heath voted against the motion.
Meeting adjourned.
