A special meeting of the vestry of St. John’s Church, Elizabeth City Parish, Hampton, Virginia was held at the parish house on April 29th 2002 at 7:00 p.m., Billie Einselen, Senior Warden, presiding.
Vestry members present were Marian Blount; Nelson T. Durden, Registrar; Billie Einselen, Senior Warden; Bob Harper; Connie Heath, Treasurer; Bill Mace; Bettyrene Pope; Mary Ellen Sawyer; Eric Stewart; W.L. (Bill) Terrill, Junior Warden; Richard Hayes; and Keith Adams, Rector.
Guest – B.J. Taylor, Consultant
A motion was made and seconded that the one-year left on the vestry term of Linda Lashley who has resigned be filled at the May 5th, 2002 Congregational (Parish) meeting. Motion failed.
There was a lengthy discussion with the consultant. A motion was made, seconded and passed that the consultant, B.J. Taylor, meet with the vestry again at a special meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. at the parish house on May 8th, 2002.
